Please help save extreme porn from being criminalised – URGENT

DON'T JUST SIT THERE – DO SOMETHING!

With only one month left to fight plans to criminalise possession of extreme porn, we asking you to write to a member of the House of Lords to ask them to oppose the plans in the current wording in the Criminal Justice and Immigration Bill.

Check out www.theyworkforyou.com, to find a Lord who might be sympathetic, or just write to ones on your area.

Two Lib Dem Lords have laid two separate sets of amendments to try and limit the reach of the plans -- including a suggestion they be dropped altogether. Try to persuade the Lords you write to, to back these amendments, or preferably drop all clauses relating to extreme pornography from the Bill.

Time is of the essence as the latest this might be debated is April 30th and the government want it to be law by may 9th. Many Lords are still unaware of the seriousness of this part of the CJIB and have never heard the opposition from the SFC, Outsiders, Liberty or the Joint Committee on Human Rights.

You can also get in touch with Elizabeth Hanna (Lib Dems) Hannae@parliament.uk, Flora Rose (Tories) RoseF@parliament.uk and Julian Dee (Cross Benchers) deej@paliament.uk and ask if they will circulate your message to the front benches & other peers who might be interested.

The Cross Benchers also have their own website http://213.52.137.147/ where they list individual interests which could be useful for you.

Please spread the word to as many people as possible by email, on web forums, on social networking sites, etc.
