THE SEXUAL FREEDOM COALITION'S CAMPAIGNS AND ACHIEVEMENTS

• SFC put the phrase "sexual freedom for consenting adults" into the vocabulary of the British nation, providing freedom fighters with an expression which clearly separates exploitation and abuse, paedophilia and child pornography from the concept that adults have the freedom to do, see and show any kind of sex which is consensual. The phrase also promotes respect.

• SFC responded to the Home Office Consultation Paper on Prostitution with a Proposal recommending a respectful future for sex workers together with increased efforts in controlling STIs in Britain. This response was sent via the Baroness Nicholson of Winterbourne MEP. It was circulated to a hand-picked selection of MPs, press and the Greater London Assembly.

• SFC contributed to the legalisation of hard core pornography. We continue to campaign for the legalization of hardcore by mail order, and for the dropping of all sex censorship.

• SFC was a major influence to make sex clubs free of hassles from the law. Although no laws have been abolished, sex clubs, swing clubs, fetish clubs are now tolerated.

• The SFC Annual Conference provides a platform for campaigners and innovators. Speeches are featured on our website, which allows interested parties around the world to read about their work and ideas. The Conference also provides opportunities to network.
"The SFC Conference changed my life."
Maggie Allen.

• SFC provides support to people who get into trouble with the law and refers them to sex positive lawyers.

• While the SFC exists, the Government, Home Office and police know that there is force defending the sexual rights of consenting adults.

• SFC delegates speak at other conferences.

• SFC advised the Green Party on their Policy Paper on Prostitution and the Lib Dems on their Policy Paper on Censorship and Pornography.

• SFC published a campaign newspaper Consenting Adults which was distributed at Erotica and many other events.

• Dr Tuppy Owens spoke on behalf of the SFC at the Oxford Union debate "Pornography is beneficial in Society" and won.

• SFC staged Sex Worker Show 'n' Tell shows at different events including the Anarchists Book Fair and the Party for The East London University Conference "Sex Work Re-Assessed" .

• SFC initiated Prostitution Pride. A group of sex workers discussed how they wished to get the laws surrounding prostitution abolished, held a conference, and compiled 50 Tips for Sex Workers.

• SFC encouraged and supported Ana Lopes to set up the International Union of Sex Workers.

• SFC has organized the most talked about sex parties of the decade: Arcadia. They were all-night pansexual fund-raising events in large houses in Hampstead and in a four-storey Victorian school in Stoke Newington. This School event started off the trend for School Discos. Arcadia finances SFC campaigns.

• SFC staged the annual Sexual Freedom Parades through London, de/ivering petitions to the Home Office and Number Ten Downing Street.

• SFC include disabled people in all our events and in all policy making.

• SFC created the Sexual Freedom Etiquette Code, which has been adopted in many sex and fetish clubs.

• SFC initiated the training of stewards to ensure safety and stop unwelcome intrusions at erotic events so that guests can relax and enjoy themselves. The big charity event, The Night of the Senses still uses the mauve SFC Stewards T-Shirts for their team of trained stewards.

• SFC created the Sexual Freedom Bill.

• SFC supported the Spanner Campaign by collecting money in fetish clubs and at Rubber Ball. Dr Tuppy Owens of the SFC became a Trustee of the Spanner Trust.

• SFC made Britain sexier.
